Q. Where do PIP groups meet?
A.
Programs are offered both in-person (paid) and on WhatsApp (free). In-person groups are hosted in participant and leader homes and at community partner venues.

Q. As a non-profit, why do you charge a fee for your programs?
A.
PIP is a non-profit organization that depends on a mix of fees, including participant contributions, sponsorships, grants, and donations. In order to continue to provide quality programming on a flexible fee scale, we must charge a fee for our groups.

Q. What if I am unable to pay the program fee, but would like to join a group?
A.
We firmly believe every family should have the opportunity to join a PIP group regardless of ability to pay a program fee. PIP offers free groups and flexible fee options, which includes an option for $25 to cover our registration fee.

Q. When will my group begin?
A.
Groups are formed on an on-demand basis. Our goal is to connect families with other families based on (1) the age of their babies, (2) the neighborhood/area of town in which they live and (3) whether or not you are first time parents. We will always do our best to accommodate every family who signs up.

Q: Are your groups for second (or third, or forth) time parents?
A:
Yes! We offer groups for parents adding a new baby to their family, regardless of how many children families already have.

Q:  What is a WhatsApp group?
A:
WhatsApp groups are offered in both English and Spanish and are offered to qualifying families with young children 0-3 years old. These groups are free and provide participating families the opportunity to share in the highs and lows of parenting and learn tips and resources through text and video prompts and a 30 minute weekly video call (using the phone based application WhatsApp instead of over Zoom). Families in this program also receive H-E-B grocery gift cards to cover essentials.

Q. Where does PIP get its funding?
A.
PIP is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization. We receive funding through donations from alumni, community, our annual fundraiser(s), grants, sponsorships, and program fees.

Q. How can I help spread the word about your invaluable programming?A. Thanks for asking!!! Word of mouth has been our most effective marketing tool. We would love if you would use your “Megaphone” to amplify our programs. Feel free to follow us on social media (@pipatx). Nextdoor.com is another great way to spread the word - simply post about your experience with PIP to share with neighbors.

Q. My child has aged out of your programming, are there other ways for me to get involved?
A.
PIP offers a variety of ways for you to get involved, including volunteering as a group leader, offering your expertise as a guest speaker, serving on our dynamic Board of Directors.

Q. I would love to make a donation. How do I do that?
A.
Thank you! Partners in Parenting is a 501(c)(3) organization and we are so grateful to our generous donors who have made it possible for us to continue serving families. Your donations go directly toward helping PIP create communities of new parents, including providing scholarships to families who would otherwise not be able to participate in programming.

Q. Do you have a refund policy?
A.
Yes, we at PIP understand that circumstances change. If you must cancel your participation, please notify us at least 15 days prior to the group start date to receive a refund of the program fee minus a $35 processing fee. Refunds are not available if we are notified less than 15 days prior to the group start date.

PIP reserves the right to cancel a group if registration for each group does not meet the minimum enrollment requirements. If PIP cancels a group, we will first try to transfer your family to another group. If this is not possible, a full refund will be issued to all participants.
