Leading a Group?
This volunteer position is one of the most crucial in directly helping new parents. PIP facilitators meet with a group of new parents once each week for 10 weeks. The topic of each 90 minute session is available in advance at a special training where you become familiar with your role as the facilitator and the materials you will use. We realize this is a serious time commitment, but the reward you will get from seeing the bonds formed between parents in your group will make your time feel well spent. If you are interested in volunteering as a Group Leader, please read the job description and submit an application.
Becoming a Volunteer Guest Speaker?
PIP welcomes local professionals to partner with us to share their wisdom and knowledge at our group sessions as guest speakers. Some key topics covered by the groups include early childhood development, couples' relationships, infant health, breastfeeding, and more. While we have a strict "no-sales" policy, the parents will inevitably have exposure to you and your expertise. Please read our Introduction for Guest Speakers to familiarize yourself with some basic information. If you are experienced in a topic related to parenting and are interested in becoming a Guest Speaker, please complete the Application and Speaker Agreement below, and we will be in touch as soon as possible for an interview and orientation.
